The simple name "fried shrooms" does not give this delectable dish enough credit. These are portobello mushroom caps that have been smoked, then covered in a batter made with Serpentine cider (step aside, beer), and fried to order. Pro tip, drizzle these suckers in slaw sauce to really send them over the top. Rule of thumb, 1lb. of veg is good for 2-3 adults.
